Climate Change And Bioenergy

The European strategic long-term vision for a prosperous, modern, competitive, and climate-neutral economy will require a competitive EU industry and the circular economy as a key enabler to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In forest and agriculture, digitalization and new business opportunities through the circular bio-economy will have to be adapted to reduce emissions and create essential carbon sinks.

At the same time, measures against pollution and environmental restoration technologies must be ensured. Despite the strengthened legislative measures for environmental protection and a reduction in the number of polluted sites on a global scale, a substantial number of ”hot spots” still exist globally. Integration of multiple novel ideas to create linkages between public authorities, industrial partners and the scientific community will be necessary.

GR4GR offers technical and policy support to companies, industries, and the public sector to realize and implement the necessary changes needed to become climate neutral in the bio- economy era in an environmental-safe way.
